Safaricom Kenya's New MPESA Withdrawal and Paybill Charges For PDF Download. Updated MPESA Sending Charges. Account Transaction Limits

Many Safaricom Kenya customers have long awaited the Safaricom new Mpesa withdrawal and Paybill charges for 2023 after easing covid-19 restrictions. This comes after Kenyans have relied heavily upon sending funds via MPesa.

Safaricom Kenya adjusted their Mpesa services transaction rates and tariffs to meet the economic turmoil imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

New Safaricom MPESA Transaction Limits

The maximum account balance stands at Ksh 300,000, up from Ksh 100,000. You are allowed to transact up to Ksh. 300,000 in a single day, with a maximum of Ksh. 150,000 per transaction.

Nonetheless, as the tax Covid reliefs came to an end, Safaricom made small adjustments to the Mpesa money transfer rates. This takes effect from January 1, 2023.

Important Account Transaction Limits and Regulations on Safaricom Mpesa Services

• Mpesa charges vary depending on the amount you are withdrawing or sending
• Your Safaricom line and Mpesa account must be active for you to perform transactions.
• The maximum MPesa account balance is Ksh. 300,000
• You can transact up to Ksh. 300,000 in a single day
• The maximum amount per transaction is capped at Ksh. 150,000
• The Minimum amount you can withdraw at a Mpesa agent is Ksh. 50
• You may initiate self-reversal by sending the transaction confirmation message to 456
• You cannot deposit money directly into another Mpesa customer’s account.
• You earn Bonga points when you transact on Mpesa.
• You need a Kenyan ID or an international Passport to transact at a Mpesa outlet.
